Gili Lankanfushi island

Gili Lankanfushi is an island in the Maldives (North Male atoll) with that huge overwater villas more looking like a Thai prison. However, the beaches are excellent, - especially the north coast with palm grove and sandspit. In a daytime seaplanes regularly fly over the island, that is very sad for such an exclusive hotel. Hotels [edit]

Gili Lankanfushi Maldives is a luxury 5-star resort holding many international awards, and claiming to be the Best hotel in the Maldives. The minimum cost of accommodation is US$3000 per night. However, a more realistic fares starts from $5000 per room.

This is a top-end price even by the Maldivian standards, and value for money is not the best. It would be more reasonable to prefer something like Four Seasons, which ideology is also eco-friendly, but in a more intelligent way.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Male international airport (MLE). Then take a hotel's speedboat. Travel time is only 25 minutes each way. The cost for the round trip including all taxes: US$250 per adult, US$120 per child (2-11 years), infants are free of charge.

When to go [edit]

The best time to travel to beaches of Gili Lankanfushi island in the Maldives is a dry season from January to April. The rest of time it's a rainy season, which in most cases means only 2-3 sunny days in a week.
