Golden Mile Beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Golden Mile Beach is the major beach of Durban in South Africa. It's good enough for a city beach. There is a beautiful promenade, palms, lawns and other tourist infrastructure. Cold water and strong waves are main disadvantages. However, it's quite typical for the entire coast of region. But at least water is warmer than on Atlantic coast of South Africa, while waves are not as strong as on most of wild beaches around. Shore and seabed: sand.
