Hakamanu beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Hakamanu is an islet (motu) in the southeast of
Tikehau Atoll, French Polynesia. To be honest, the place is not quite beautiful. There are just a few trees and palms, while entry into the water is rocky. So as for a pure beach holiday, it is not the best spot. Of course, you will be offered lagoon tours (some free, some paid). But you should understand, that any hotel on the atoll will offer you such tours. Shore and seabed: stones, sand.

Hotels [edit]
Hakamanu Lodge is a good guesthouse with rooms' rates starting from US$250 per night. The only problem is that their meal plan is very poor. So it is worth to take some food and water. Since it is not possible to buy anything on the motu. Please also note, that they have four bungalows for rent. So some other tourists can be found on the island.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tahiti international airport (PPT), next fly to
Tikehau airport (TIH). There are also direct flights from atoll Rangiroa, as well as from some other islands.
When to go [edit]
