Hapuna beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Hapuna is a beach in the north-west of the Big Island of Hawaii. There is a hotel in the north end. However, most of the beach is almost wild - with minimum of services. Parking lot is US$10 per car. In addition, entrance fee is US$5 per person. So this is rare beach on the island, which is not free. But it is one of the best as well. There are not many trees. While waves are strong sometimes. Anyway, this is an almost perfect spot. Good snorkeling is also possible at the sides of the beach. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
