Hapuna beach

Hapuna is a beach in the north-west of the Big Island of Hawaii. There is a hotel in the north end. However, most of the beach is almost wild - with minimum of services. Parking lot is US$10 per car. In addition, entrance fee is US$5 per person. So this is rare beach on the island, which is not free. But it is one of the best as well. There are not many trees. While waves are strong sometimes. Westin Hapuna Beach Resort is a four-star beachfront property with rooms' rates starting from US$600 per night. The hotel is great. But its restaurant and bar are very expensive. However, this is an upscale resort. So price tag is quite reasonable.

Fly to Honolulu international airport (HNL). Next fly to Kona international airport (KOA) or fly to Hilo airport (ITO).
