Hawks Nest beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Hawks Nest is a beach in the south-west of
Cat Island, Bahamas. Seabed is rocky, so the swimming is very uncomfortable. There is also a second beach located near marina, but it's too shallow. So it makes sense to stay here, only if you are going to use their marina. There is also good snorkeling and deep sea fishing. But it's like that everywhere on the island. Shore and seabed: stones, sand.

How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Nassau international airport (NAS). Next make a domestic flight to
New Bight airport (TBI) or to Arthur's Town airport (ATC).
When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to Cat Island is a dry season in the winter half of the year. However, the summer is also good. Since sea water is much warmer, and there are no crowds of tourists.
