Hoarafushi island

Hoarafushi is a local island in the west of Haa Alifu atoll, Maldives. Central beach (near the village) is perfectly manicured. There are picturesque palms, good playground and two artificial islets nearby. Unfortunately, this is a pure Islamic beach. So bikini is possible only on the west sandspit - far away from the village. But there is a lot of garbage, while the views are not so outstanding. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Annama Lodge and Dive is a good "local" guesthouse with rooms' rates starting from US$80 per night. But you should always ask about the amount of taxes, which are often not included in the base price tag, and sometimes can be unpleasant surprise.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Maldives international airport (MLE). Next make a domestic flight to Hoarafushi Airport (HRF) or fly to Hanimaadhoo airport (HAQ). Next get by boat provided by your hotel. Round transfer from Male and back start from US$250 per person (discounted fares are available for children). Please note, that private resorts always give more upscale price for domestic transfer (from US$600 for the return transfer).
