Holhudhoo island
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Holhudhoo is a local island in
Noonu atoll of Maldives. The island is overdeveloped without any notable beaches and even without dedicated "bikini" beach. Fortunately, the hotel's boat for just US$10 per person will deliver guests to the neighboring paradise island of Hulhumeedhoo having a true beach club with sunbeds and tiki huts. This island is actually not uninhabited, since it has vegetables and fruits plantations. But anyway, you will not see anyone on the coastline. So the trip to Holhudhoo still makes sense. But it is better to check with the hotel
in advance whether trips to a private island are available and what are the current fares. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Ocean Village Maldives is a typical Maldivian guesthouse with room's rates starting from US$70 per night. The guys make their best to provide great service for guests, but it's quite typical for the Maldivian local islands.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maldives international airport (MLE). Next take 3 hours journey by public speedboat (US$60 per person per way). Ask your hotel for the schedule and prices at least a month before the trip.
When to go [edit]
Feel free to relax any time of year in the Maldives. The rainy season in the summer half of the year is definitely less preferable, but on the other side it's less crowded with tourists that time.
