Hopkins beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Hopkins - is a beautiful beach in Belize, which began to destroy from April 2015 due to the barbaric actions of
Hopkins Bay Resort after they established a groyne (breakwater) to build their private beach. As a result, the rest of the coast suffers from a strong erosion. We suggest to boycott
Hopkins Bay Resort to bankrupt them and to make them stop to destroy our favorite beach! Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Odious
Hopkins Bay hotel is in the north of Hopkins village. It is the only one with a good sandy beach, which is evident from space photographs. After they left the rest of the village without sand coming from the north, once again we ask everybody not to book this hotel in any circumstances.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Belize International Airport (BZE). Then take a bus from Belize City via Dangriga town. Total road will take a minimum of 4 hours. There is also a direct shuttle minibus Belize City - Hopkins (2,5 hours per way).
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Belize is a dry season from January to June.
