Horn Island is a barrier island being the largest in the state of Mississippi, USA. This is a popular boating destination for trips from the mainland. The island has a great variety of wildlife, including notorious crocodiles. The southern beach is beautiful with occasional trees giving some shade. Shore and seabed: sand.

There are no hotels on Horn Island, but basic camping is available. Groups from 10 persons are required to obtain camping permit in advance from the National Park authority.

Fly to
Gulfport–Biloxi airport (GPT). Next hire a taxi to the east coast of Mississippi state, and get by boat to the Horn island.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday on Horn Island is a warm season in the summer half of the year.
