Huraa island

Huraa is a local island of North Male (up) atoll in the Maldives. North shore has a good bikini beach with a sandspit. In the east of the island there is also another tourist beach with palm trees. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Male international airport (MLE). Next take a government ferry (MTCC), - route #301. The journey takes 1.5 hours per way and costs about US$2 per person. The ferry runs every day except Friday:

- there: departure from Male at 14:30 - arrival in Huraa at 16:00;

- back: departure from Huraa at 8:10 - arrival in Male at 9:40.

The only transfer option at Friday is a private speedboat, - from US$200 per way for the boat.

When to go [edit]

The best time to travel to the beaches of Huraa island in the Maldives is a dry season in the winter half of the year.
