Kikambala beach

Kikambala is a beach in the northern suburbs of Mombasa, Kenya. As it's located far from the city, there are just a few hotels, and limited number of tourists. The beach is beautiful - with palms and white sand. However, during the low tide, sea water goes far away from the coastline, making it impossible to swim. In the international booking systems Kikambala beach often appears under the name of Vipingo. There are beachfront resorts, as well as an abandoned hotel giving surrealistic landscapes.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Nairobi international airport (NBO), next fly to Mombasa airport (MBA). Then get to the beach of Kikambala/Vipingo by taxi or by matata minibus.

When to go [edit]

The best time for relaxing on the beach of Kikambala is a dry season from June to mid-April.
