Kuanidup island

Kuanidup (Guanidub) is a small island near Carti port in the group of San Blas, Panama. This is iconic low key resort with excellent beach. There are no many palms, but these are very picturesque, while the sand is perfectly white. On the other hand, areas without sand have great snorkeling. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Kuanidup hotel has 12 basic bungalows standing in a line, thus creating a recognizable landscape. Roofs leak a little during the rain, and in general everything is below average standard. However, it is not a place to search for the luxury.

The cost is $90 per night per person including round-trip boat from the port of Carti, fullboard meal plan and tours to the neighboring islands. It is a good price, if you stay only for one night.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Panama City international airport (PTY). Then take a 4-wheel drive to Puertos de Carti ($50 for the round trip per person, 4 hours per way), and take 20 minutes journey by the water taxi.

If you arrive to the port of Carti without hotel's reservation, you will always be offered a few islands for your choice, available for a day trip or for overnight stay.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday on the beaches of Isla Anzuelo island in Panama is a dry season from late December to April. As for the rainy season, it is also good, but you won't get a lot of sunny days.
