Kuda Rah is a small island resort in South Ari atoll, Maldives. The problem of breakwaters is particularly bad here. These are located near the coast and spoil the view. In many places the sand comes close to the edge without any space for swimming. On the other hand, the beach itself is good enough and looks like what we expect from the Maldives. The island has no house reef, so there's no good snorkeling as well. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Amaya Resorts & Spa Kuda Rah is a five-star hotel with rooms' fares starting from US$300 per night (de facto it's more like a four star property). It is very cheap by the Maldivian standards, but don't forget about the problems with the beach. If you usually travel "to the hotel", but not "to the beach", this is your choice. Take a full board meal plan, as the food is very expensive here.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Male international airport (MLE). Next take a seaplane to Kudarah island. The cost for the round transfer is US$420 per adult, US$250 per child (2-11 years), infants are for free.
When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to the beaches of Kuda Rah island is a dry period from January to April.
