Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Kukio is a hotel beach in the north-west of Big Island of Hawaii. This is a small shallow lagoon surrounded by palms and picturesque black rocks. Good snorkeling is possible just out of the lagoon. The only restaurant is available to the resort's guests only. But there is a free shower on the way from beach to the parking lot. Hotel's guards at the parking issues beach passes - a maximum of 30 passes per day. So you should arrive before 9 am. Otherwise you won't be able to get to the beach. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
