Laem Thian (Pinnacle beach) is a small rocky beach on the east of
Koh Tao island in Thailand. There are huge boulders with sand - both ashore and in the water. It looks spectacular, but swimming is not very convenient. However, the snorkeling is superb, and you can often meet ocean turtles. Shore and seabed: rocks, sand.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels near the beach of Laem Thian (Pinnacle beach). The nearest hotels are located a little to the south in
Ao Tanote beach.
By the way, you can walk around the abandoned hotel, which was closed in 2011. It looks like the scenes from post-apocalyptic future.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next get to Koh Tao by
Lomprayah catamaran. However, a way from Bangkok to
Chumphon you will get by bus anyway.
From the main pier of Koh Tao it is possible to get to Ao Tanote beach by shuttle minibus for 100 bahts, and then walk to the north along the shore - within half an hour, depending on your physical conditions.
When to go [edit]
The best time to relax on the beach of Laem Thian (aka Pinnacle beach) is a dry season from December to September.
