Lamu island
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Lamu is an old town in Kenya featured in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It has iconic attractions, as well as the beach with dunes (
Shela beach). There are no palms, so don't expect the perfect tropical paradise. In 2014, the wave of bloody terror covered the region, but as for now everything seems to be Ok. Shore and seabed: sand.
