Langstrand beach

Langstrand is a small seaside village located in the half way between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay - two major coastal towns of Namibia. Despite its beach status, this is more like a place for relaxation and walking along the sea. The problem is that (like elsewhere in Namibia) the water is always cold with strong waves. Langstrand is a luxury destination being more expensive in comparison with larger settlements located nearby. However, quite a decent room can be rented from US$60 per night, which is reasonable fare for such a service.

Fly to Windhoek International airport (WDH). Next get by minibus, or by bus, or by train.

The best time for a beach holiday in Langstrand is a warm season from January to April.
