Lido di Venezia beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Lido di Venezia is the main beach of Venice in Italy. In reality, this is the island. However, it doesn't feel like a real island. In the south, there is an almost wild coastline with breakwaters. It's not crowded, while the swimming is good. Unfortunately, there is a problem of strong low tides. So you'll have to walk a little to the depths. As for the north end, there are many beachfront resorts, as well as ridiculous beach pavilions that spoil the view. In general, the beach is rather mediocre, but it is still fine by the Italian standards. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
In the hotels of Lido di Venezia, rooms' rates start from US$120 per night. In general, average price tag is much higher. But the service is good as well. Upscale price tag is quite reasonable, since Lido is located just near Venice. Ferry to Venice takes 10 minutes, and it is actually just an urban transport link of Venice.
