Lifuka island

Lifuka is the main island of Ha'apai archipelago in Tonga. As it often happens, the best beaches can be found on the neighbouring islands. However, it is possible to find a small piece of paradise in Lifuka. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Ironically, Lifuka hotels are not available to book via internet. But booking systems will show you hotels on the neighboring islands of Uoleva and Foa. As for Lifuka, it has several family guesthouses with free rooms without any reservations.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Tonga International Airport (TBU). Next fly to Haʻapai-Lifuka Airport (HPA).

You may also get by ferry from Nuku'alofa port of Tongatapu island to Lifuka island of Haʻapai archipelago. We don't recommend this transportation method, as it's very long and uncomfortable.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday on the Lifuka island is a dry season from May to October.
