Long Bay beach

Long Bay is a popular beach near the airport of Beef Island in British Virgin Islands. This is one of the three beaches where cruise ships make their tours from cruise port of Tortola island. The place is beautiful, but there are no palms, while entry into the water is very uncomfortable in many areas. There are small horses running around the beach. Feed one of them, and you will get a whole herd! That's so great for the younger children. Keep in mind that there are several beach vendors offering sun loungers, so you can choose where it is cheaper. When cruise ship is in the port, there are also vendors selling snacks and drinks. Hotels [edit]

There are just a few hotels on Beef Island. So in most cases, it is better to find suitable option (from US$100 per night) on the neighboring island of Tortola, which is actually the same island due to the bridge.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Tortola - Beef Island airport (EIS) and walk about 10 minutes. If you arrived at the cruise port of Tortola, the best is not to take a tour from cruise company, but just to take a taxi for just US$12 per way (for the whole car).

When to go [edit]

You can relax any time of year at the Long Bay beach. Of course, it is better to avoid the hurricane season from June to October. But even this time the weather is great most of time.
