Lucaya is a popular beach in Freeport,
Grand Bahama. There are pools and many attractions, but it makes no sense to look for some privacy. In general, this is a good beach for those who heads "to the hotel", but not "to the beach". Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Grand Lucayan Resort is a four star property working on an "all inclusive" basis with the room's cost starting from US$400 per night. This is a good hotel, but not worth the money, as there are too many complaints about the service and food. However, everything is expensive for tourists in the Bahamas.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Freeport international airport (FPO). Next hire a taxi. Or in a theory you may walk on your own, as the hotel is located just a few miles from the airport.
But most of tourists get to Grand Bahama by ferry from
Fort Lauderdale or by cruise ship from
West Palm Beach.
When to go [edit]
The best time for relaxing on Lucaya beach is a period from October to November. The problem is that during the high season (in winter) sea water is too cool, while in summer it is the rainy season in the Bahamas.
