Maamutaa island
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Maamutaa is a private island in the north of
Gaafu atoll, Maldives. The beach is good, while pools are even better. There is a great sandbank to the north of the island. Snorkeling on the house reef is possible right from the shore. By the way, for the same reason, the swimming in the sea is not very comfortable, since the water is shallow, and most of the bottom is covered with broken corals. It is also worth to mention, that there is a small lake on the island. It's quite beautiful, but on the other hand this is potential home for mosquitoes. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
