Machchafushi island

Machchafushi is an island resort in Alifu Dhaalu atoll, Maldives. Almost all the coast is green with tall palms and great beach. During the low tide breakwaters slightly spoil the view, but this problem is common for the Maldives, and most of the time you won't see it. Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa is an excellent five-star hotel with room's rates starting from US$900 per night. It is best to take full board or even all inclusive package, else you will pay a lot for food and drinks.

Some beach villas have bad location, - in this case just ask at reception to change the room.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Male international airport (MLE). Next fly by a seaplane for US$530 for the round trip. There is 50% discounted fare for children from 2 to 12 years old; free for infants.

The best time for a holiday on the beaches of Centara Grand Island Resort is a dry season from January to April.
