Magaruque is a small private island in the
Bazaruto archipelago in Mozambique. There is a great snorkelling near the island, but beaches are not the best comparing to the neighboring islands. Shore and seabed: sand.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
Magaruque Island Resort is the only accommodation option on the island. Rates start from $1600 per villa, but significant discounts are often available. We may note the unusual architecture of the bungalows, as well as the opportunity to rent the entire island.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maputo International Airport (MPM) or fly to
Johannesburg International Airport (JNB). Next fly to
Vilankulo Airport (VNX). In most cases, the flight to Vilankulo via Johannesburg will be cheaper. Next, get to your island on a small private plane or by boat. The hotel will offer you all possible transportation options.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in the islands of Bazaruto is a dry season from April to November. However, sea water may be rather cold during the period from June to October. Therefore, the best monthes are April-May and November.
