Makronissos beach

Makronissos is a beach in the western suburbs of Ayia Napa in Cyprus island. The place is beautiful. In addition, there are ancient ruins nearby (not very interesting). There are scenic palms on the west beach, but the swimming is not very good there. As for the east beach, it has no palms, but sea water is perfectly azure with comfortable sandy bottom. It is hard to find a free spot. But at least the rental of sun loungers is not very expensive. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Asterias Beach and Dome Beach are the two major beachfront resorts. A little further away from the coastline (near the road), there are also many other hotels with room's rates starting from US$80 per night. However, average price tag is still very expensive, since the place is very popular.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Larnaca international airport (LCA) or fly to Paphos international airport (PFO). Net get by bus or hire a taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday on the beaches of Cyprus is a warm period from June to September.
