Makunudu a small island resort in the
North Male (up) atoll, Maldives. This place has its charm and unspoiled by the mass tourism. But the beaches are below the average level by the Maldivian standards. The entire coast is overgrown by bushes, which don't give any shadow, while sea water is mostly rocky and shallow. There is a house reef with good snorkelling. Shore and seabed: rocks, sand.

Hotels [edit]
Makunudu Island Resort is a 4-stars hotel with a minimum room's rate of US$250 per night. But the more realistic price for the majority of dates starts from US$500.
The hotel has no swimming pool, which is strange for the four stars property. However, this is a good budget option for its money.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Male international airport (MLE). Next take a hotel's speedboat, which runs about 45 minutes per way. Round-trip transfer costs US$220 including all taxes.
When to go [edit]
The best time to relax on the beaches of the Maldivian Makunudu island is a dry season in the winter half of the year.
