Mancora - is the most popular beach town in Peru. Even in the low season there are a lot of tourists. And it's fully crowded in high season - especially on weekends. Anyway the local beaches are really good, especially by the Peruvian standards. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

There is a huge choice of hotels in town. But it is highly desirable to book in advance in high season. Keep in mind that many beach hotels are located near the bars, so loud music may disturb you in the night.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Lima International Airport (LIM). Next take a bus. You may also take a domestic flight to Tumbes, and next get by bus to Mancora.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Mancora is a warm period from January to May. However, the low season is also very comfortable, - the sun is always shining, and the sea water does not cool down too much.
