Mandarin beach is a resort area in the east of
Canouan island, Grenadines. However, all island's beaches are public, - just don't enter the hotel's gardens. This is Atlantic coast, but waves are usually not strong - due to the home reef. As for the seaweed, the staff removes it every day. The main problem is that, there are no trees, nor palms right on the beach. Sorry, but for a true tropical paradise, it's not enough just to provide sunbeds and parasols. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Mandarin Oriental (formerly
Pink Sand) is an upscale five-star property with rooms' fares starting from US$1400 per night. The hotel is great, but not worth the money. Of course, the service is of a very high standards. But for money they want, the beach should be above average standards as well.

Saint Vincent international airport (SVD) or fly to
Barbados international airport (BGI). Next fly to
Canouan island airport (CIW).

The best time for a beach holiday in Mandarin Bay is a dry season from December to May.
