Mango Bay (Ao Muang) is a secluded beach on the north of
Koh Tao island, Thailand. Most of the coast and bottom are covered with huge boulders, thus giving great opportunities for divers. However, there is also a wide sandy area with good entry into the water. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Mango Bay Boutique Resort and
Ao Muong Resort are the two accomodation options by the beach with rooms' fares starting from US$50 per night. It makes sense to stay here for a couple of nights. Since there is a crowd of daily tourists, it is possible to get some seclusion in the morning or in the evening only.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next get to Koh Tao by
Lomprayah catamaran. Please note, that from Bangkok to
Chumphon you will get by bus anyway. There are taxi boats running from
Sairee beach to Mango Bay. It is also possible to get by the ground, but the road is very hard.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Mango Bay on Koh Tao is a dry season from late December to September.
