Marina di Alberese is a great laid back beach in a protected area of
Maremma National Park, Tuscany. This is an unspoiled place located far from any towns. There is an ancient tower of
Torre di Collelungo ashore, as well as another tower (
Torre di Castel Marino) a little further away. Accidental tree shadow is available, but most people make primitive tents using numerous snags. Near the parking, there are benches and tables, as well as a cafe. If you walk a little away, it is possible to sunbathe naked. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
The nearest accommodation options are located about 5 km from the coast - in the village of Alberese. These are guesthouses, as well as superb country houses (
agriturismo). Unfortunately, everything is very expensive. Rooms' fares start from US$100, while the average price tag is US$250+ per night.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to Rome (airports of
Fiumicino-FCO or
Ciampino-CIA) or fly to
Pisa international airport (PSA). Take a train to the station of
Alberese. Then get by bus to Alberese town, rent a bycicle (10 euros) and ride to the coast.
The beach has also car parking (2 euros per hour). The number of parking lots is limited, so some cars usually wait at the far end of the road. The green traffic light shows that there is a free parking lot. During the daylime, it works like - one car out, one car in.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Marina di Alberese is a warm season from July to September.
