Masirah beach

Masirah - the beach of Masirah island in the Indian Ocean. To be honest, the island has no good beaches, so swimming areas are mainly the same as the location of hotels - in the north and west of the island. Beach and seabed: sand, pebble. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Almost all hotels are located in the north of the island, including a 4-stars hotel. There is also camping located in the west of the island.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Muscat airport (MCT) or fly to Salalah airport (SLL). Take a bus or taxi to Shanna town, next take a ferry to Masirah isand.

The island has a military airport, but now it doesn't serve routes of civil aviation.

When to go [edit]

Any time of the year. It's not too hot in winter here, but sea water is rather cold. Keep in mind that strong winds blow in summer time, that's why kitesurfers love this period.
