Matevulu Blue Hole

Matevulu is a great spot in the jungle of Espiritu Santo to swim in clear fresh water (entry fee US$5). You can also jump from the rope swing tied to a huge banyan tree, or get by kayak to the sea. Please note, that the water is usually muddy after heavy rains. Shore and seabed: stones. [edit]

There are no hotels near the lake of Matevulu. However, nobody needs it, as the island has a lot of beaches with cheap accomodation options.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Port Vila international airport (VLI), and then fly to Espiritu Santo airport (SON). Next hire a taxi or take an island tour.

The best time for a beach holiday in Matevulu Blue Hole is a dry season from July to October.
