Medhufushi island
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Medhufushi is a private island in the atoll of
Meemu, Maldives. Almost the entire coastline has a great beach with palms, bushes and trees. Unfortunately, there is a lot of algae in the water, and it's very shallow. The only good area is near the pool, where you don't have to walk far to the depth. Snorkeling around the island is also rather mediocre, though the bottom is stony. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Medhufushi Island Resort is a five-star property with rooms' rates starting from as low as US$180. However, a more realistic price tag is somewhere around US$400 per night. Unfortunately, the service is not good enough even for 4 stars. So it makes sense to stay here only in case of notable discounts. We recommend to take fullboard meal plan or even "all inclusive", else you'll spend a lot in a cafe.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maldives international airport (MLE). Next get by a seaplane during 40 minutes (US$500 per person for the round trip / US$300 per child).
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Medhufushi island is a dry period in the winter half of the year.
