Media Luna beach

Media Luna - good beach in Vieques island in Puerto Rico. The beach is located in a deep bay, so there are no waves here. Also water is shallow, so the beach is ideal for children. The disadvantage of the beach is that there is usually a lot of mosquitoes here. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

The nearest hotels are in Esperanza town. Also you can put your tent in the western part of the beach for free. Permit should be obtained in the National Park headquarters (office is located in the Sun Bay beach).

How to get there [edit]

Fly to San Juan Airport (SJU). Next get to Fajardo ferry dock by taxi or by bus. Ride by ferry to Isabel Segunda port of Vieques island. Then take the shuttle bus taxi to the Sun Bay beach campsite. Next walk or ride by car to the Media Luna beach.
