Mermaid Beach

Mermaid Beach is a small beach on the northern coast of Saint Croix island, USVI. This is Buccaneer Resort's beach being called after the restaurant attached nearby. However, everybody is admitted here. If you are not a hotel guest, you'll have to pay for sunbeds rental. Or you may stay for free on the west end of the beach. The beach is beautiful, always clean, without waves, without algae and with good entry into the water. Cafe is good, but too expensive and with very slow service. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. The Buccaneer Hotel is a 4-star property with rooms' rates starting from US$500 per night. It is slightly overpriced. However, all the hotels on the island are rather expensive.

Fly to St. Croix airport (STX). Next take a taxi.

When to go [edit]

Feel free to relax in Saint Croix island any time of year. Summer half of the year is a low season due to the risk of hurricanes. But the weather is usually very good even during this period.
