Metundo island

Metundo is a private island in the Quirimbas archipelago in Mozambique. The island is wild even by the standards of Quirimbas. The bay with the hotel in the south of the island is the only developed area. There is a nice beach with palm trees. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

The only hotel on the island is focused mainly on the Italian tourist market. Unfortunately, it is likely that the hotel is closed last years.

How to get there [edit]

The most cheap is to fly to Quirimbas islands via airports of neighboring countries: Dar es Salaam International Airport (DAR) (Tanzania), Nairobi International Airport (NBO) (Kenya) or Johannesburg International Airport (JNB) (South Africa).

Next fly to Pemba International Airport (POL) or fly to Nampula International Airport (APL). Next hire a taxi and a speedboat.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the islands of Quirimbas is a dry season from April to November. However, if you prefer the warm sea water, it is better to avoid the period from July to September.
