Micondo beach

Micondo is the best beach in Sao Tome island. This is a wild bay with outstanding beautiful views. Swimming is also good - with smooth entry into the water and usually without strong waves. You can easily find a shaded spot under the trees. However, there are some palms as well. So it looks quite like a canonical tropical paradise. You can also walk around the surrounding hills with good views, and even find a small waterfall. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Hotel Micondo is a great property with good service located in the deep forest. While the ancient buildings are very outdated, but still look quite authentic.

To the south, there is also hotel of Pousada Vila Paraíso with rooms' fares starting from US$90 per night. It's not quite near Mikondo beach, but still located in a walking distance.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sao Tome international airport (TMS). Next hire a taxi. There is also public transport on the island, but the bus routes are not convenient for tourists in most cases.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Sao Tome and Principe is a dry season from June to September. Unfortunately, sea water is relatively cold during this period.
