Monasterace Marina is a town on the Ionian Sea in Calabria, Italy. The beach is rather ordinary, but the promenade with palms is quite good. A nice Old Town is located atop. While a little to the north along the coast, there are notable ancient greek ruins of
Caulonia. However, these are just stones on the ground, - so in general it is not very interesting. Shore and seabed: pebble, sand.

Lamezia Terme international airport (SUF). Next take a train to the station of
Monasterace.
