Monuriki island

Monuriki - is an uninhabited island in the Mamanuca group in Fiji. This place became famous after the "Cast Away" movie (2000) with Tom Hanks. Don't confuse with Castaway island, which is located nearby. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Nadi International Airport (NAN). Day trips to the island of Monuriki leave from Denarau port, as well as from some of the Mamanuca Islands. Ask at your hotel or at the travel agency.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday in Fiji is a dry season from May to November. As for the other time, the weather is also very good in general, and there's no crowd.
