Mosquito Pier beach

Mosquito Pier is a beach in the northwest of
Vieques island, Puerto Rico. It has famous unfinished road into the open ocean. This is probably the main symbol of the island. In addition, you'll get two different beaches. To the west, it is
Playa Blaydin being totally protected from algae coming from Atlantic. In the east, there is
Parque de la Ceiba - with huge scenic trees popular among tourists. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels near Mosquito Pier beach. However, it is still possible to walk from Esperanza. But the journey will be extremely hard under the sunny skies.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
San Juan airport (SJU). Next get to
Fajardo ferry dock by taxi or by bus. Boats to Vieques island run several times per day.
When to go [edit]
Feel free to visit Vieques island any time of year. There is a small chance of hurricanes in the summer, but sea water is warmer. Winter is considered to be a high season, and there are a lot of people that time.
