Motu Iriru is a small islet (motu) near the east coast of
Raiatea island, French Polynesia. This is rather unique place. In fact, it's a paradise uninhabited island without any commercial services. But on the other hand, it is equipped with a full set of luxury amenities - shower, toilet, picnic tables and sheltered spots. And all of this is for free! The only problem is that the bottom is very shallow. However, in the west of islet there is an area with comfortable entry into the water. To get here, you should take a boat tour in the port of Raiatea. Usually, excursions are focused on the river in
Fa'aroa Bay. However, they can drop you off at Motu Iriru for a couple of hours. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
