Moune beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Moune is a rustic beach in the northwest of Basse Terre island of
Guadeloupe. There is usually no one here. The bad news is that there is a road right next to the beach. However, it has no regular traffic. But there is N2 highway a little further away giving the noise from morning till night. The central beach area has a rocky bottom. So it is best to swim at the edges (walk to the left or to the right). Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are few hotels near the beach, though these are poorly presented over the Web. If you find a good offer, it makes sense to stay here, since Guadeloupe has no many beachfront properties.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Guadeloupe international airport (PTP). Next rent a car and drive about half an hour. If you prefer a bus, expect to spend 3 hours including one bus change on the Central station.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday on Moune beach is a dry season from January to June.
