Hotels [edit]
Negombo has the highest concentration of the beach hotels in the country. You can easily find here both cheap room for the night, as well as luxurious beach resort.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Colombo International Airport (CMB). Continue by taxi. This is the most expensive way, and it makes sense only if you are traveling in a group. Also you may get directly to your hotel by tuk-tuk (costs about two times cheaper than a taxi). The cheapest, but also the most tedious way to get to the beach is by public bus.
When to go [edit]
In the dry season. In Sri Lanka there are Big dry season (December-March) and Small dry season (July-August).
