Niyama is an island resort in
Dhaalu atoll, Maldives. In fact, these are two islets connected by bridge. So there are a lot of different good beaches. Definitely, there are some downsides as well, but these are quite typical for most of Maldivian islands. Sometimes there are a lot of mosquitoes, broken corals on the seabed, dead home reef and lack of entertainment. Shore and seabed: sand.

Niyama Private Islands Maldives is a five star property with rooms' rates starting from US$500 per night. This is not the best hotel, but value for money is great. If you want well-trained staff, free water and perfect pool, then you should be ready to pay a minimum of US$2000 per night in the Maldives.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maldives international airport (MLE). Next there are two major transportation option to get to the island:
- fly by seaplane during 40 minutes (US$630 for the round trip, US$320 for child 2-11 years, free for infants).
- fly to domestic airport of Dhaalu (DDD) about 30 minutes and next get by boat in 10 minutes (US$410 for adult, US$200 per child under 12 years old).

The best time for a beach holiday on the island of Niyama is a dry season in the winter half of the year.
