Noosa Main Beach

Noosa Main Beach is one of the best beaches in the Sunshine Coast, Australia. The beach faces the open sea. However, it's protected from the east, giving good opportunuties both for swimming and surfing. A little to the west there is Noosa Spit protected from any construction. Rooms near Noosa Main Beach starts from US$200 per night. It's not cheap, but you will stay in a small cozy beach hotel, unlike those skyscrapers in the Gold Coast.

If you are ready to walk to the beach about 10-15 minutes, the choice of accomodation options will be much better, and the prices much lower (from US$80 per room).

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sunshine Coast airport (MCY) or fly to Brisbane airport (BNE). Next get to the stop "Noosa Heads" - buses 620, 626, 627, 629, 630, 631.

If you arrive at Brisbane airport, the taxi is very expensive due to the large distance. So it is mandatory to pre-book a package transfer, or you'll have to take a public transportation with several bus/train changes.

The best time for a beach holiday in Noosa Main Beach on the Sunshine Coast is a warm season from November to May.
