Oblu Select island

Oblu Select is an upscale island resort on the atoll of North Male, Maldives. The beach is beautiful, but not very comfortable due to coral chips in the sand. In addition, the beach is artificial thus being somewhat lifeless. Snorkeling on the house reef is bad as well. Many guests hate the view to Oblu Xperience Resort nearby and to skyscrapers of the capital Male island a little further away. So this is a good option to spend one night before fly out of Maldives. As for a longer stay, it is possible to find a better hotel for the money. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

OBLU SELECT Lobigili is a 5-star all-inclusive "adults only" resort with rooms' rates starting from US$1000 per night. The hotel is good. But the service is not a real Maldivian 5 stars. In addition, some amenities are available only on the neighboring island, where friendly Oblu Xperience resort is located. Unfotunately, it is not so luxury.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Maldives international airport (MLE). Next get by the resort's speedboat.

Transfer from Male airport to the resort and back is proposed to be free. But it is worth to ask the hotel about it - after you made the booking.

When to go [edit]

You can relax any time of year in the Maldives. But the best is a winter half of the year.
