Ocean Beach is a surfer beach in the west end of San Francisco. The long coastline faces the open ocean, so there are always waves and strong currents. The main attractions are beach walking, BBQ and, of course, surfing. You should never swim here, because it is very dangerous. Shore and seabed: sand.

Near the Ocean Beach there are a dozen of hotels with room' rates starting from $70. However, a more realistic price is around $200-300 per night.

Fly to
San Francisco international airport (SFO). Next hire a taxi. There are few large parking lots near the beach.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in San Francisco is a warm season from June to October. As for the surfing, it is better to choose winter half of the year, when the waves are stronger.
