Omkara beach

Omkara is a beach in northern suburbs of Gokarna, Karnataka state, India. This is a nice ocean beach more suitable for walking. As for the swimming, it's not very comfortable due to strong waves. In addition, coastal vegetation is located far from the coastline. So it is hard to find a suitable shaded spot under the tree. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Anaariya Beach Front Gokarna is a 3-star hotel with rooms' fares starting from US$50 per night. It's quite basic, but still Ok by the standards of India. There are also few more hotels nearby.

Fly to Goa international airport - Dabolim (GOI) or fly to Bangalore international airport (BLR). Next hire a taxi or take a bus.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday on the beaches of Karnataka is a dry season in the winter half of the year.
