Oyster Island

Oyster Island (Malwepe) is a small private islet off the eastern coast of Espiritu Santo island in Vanuatu. There is only small good beach located near the pier. All the rest are mangroves with a stony bottom. Therefore, in general, the island is more suitable for walking and for snorkeling. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Oyster Island Resort is an excellent property, luxurious and cozy the same time, has been closed for renovation since April 2017. The new owner has a lot of great ideas on how to improve everything. So wait for the grand opening at the end of 2017.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Port Vila international airport (VLI), and then fly to Espiritu Santo airport (SON). Next hire a taxi to the hotel's pier, and take a complimentary boat.

When to go [edit]

The best time to relax on the beach of Oyster Island (aka Malwepe) is a dry season from July to October.
