Pain de Sucre beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Pain de Sucre is a hidden beach near the funky hill - on Les Saintes island in
Guadeloupe. The central area of the bay is perfect for swimming - with shallow water on a sandy bottom. While at left and right sides, the bottom is rocky with superb snorkeling. Please note, that the beach is located on the west side of the narrow isthmus. As for the east side, it has another beach called
Anse Devant, - however, not so popular. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Villa Le sucrier is a huge house (190 sq.m) from US$130 per night. This is probably the best accommodation option for a large company in all of Guadeloupe, - at least if we think about value for money.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Guadeloupe international airport (PTP). Next take a ferry to Les Saintes islet. Ferries depart from different piers of the main island - including Basse-Terre and Pointe-A-Pitre. Next take a taxi to "Pain de Sucre", and walk about 5 minutes along the stony pathway hidden in the forest.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a holiday on Pain de Sucre beach is a dry season from January to June.
